Kuaray Solar Panels Design by Ruben Freire

Kuaray solar panels, designed by Ruben Freire, is a good concept, which consists of solar panels is stretchable and lithium-ion battery that harvests and stores solar energy from the panel. And Kuaray - with organic particles of plastic, lithium ion, aluminum cans discarded soda and corn - are not only autonomous but are almost completely recyclable.

Kuaray” is the guarany words for “Sun” The Guaranis are a surviving social group of South American Indians
Kuaray is designed not only as a portable transducer of solar energy, but also as a complement for Portability, since it also a container to safely carry electronic portable devices

The electricity generated by the solar panel can be used to charge various devices through specific cables. For optimal exposure, the solar panel can be stretched under direct sunlight and also stuck to the windows with the help of suction cups. The device can be used in both indoor and outdoor environments. All plastic parts are biodegradable, the aluminum structure is fully recyclable and the Li-ion battery can be refurbished.

Kuaray capitalizes on this discovery, wedding a bio-based, light activated plastic developed by Konarka to a lithium-ion battery in a configuration that allows the solar panel not only to charge electronic devices like cell phones and MP3s, but to serve as a container for same. The solar sheet itself is printed in a continuous roll-to-roll process that both reduces costs and lowers the environmental burden of traditional silicon-based solar.
